We met while in college at Texas Tech University. Hawks' older sister and my sorority sister, Kate, was convinced that we would end up together and set us up to go to Theta's semi-formal. Hawks claims it was "love at first sight". After a couple of dates, it became apparent that Hawks' intuition remained true. We have been inseparable ever since. From ski trips to cold sits in a deer blind; long road-trips and weekend getaways at the ranch, our life together has been a continuous adventure and we are excited to continue this in marriage. God has blessed our path to this point and we know that the plans He has for our future are greater than we could ever know.

We drove out to the ranch on Friday night after we both got off work. We woke up on Saturday morning and enjoyed some Black Rifle Coffee and Little Debbie mini donuts. After a day full of filling deer feeders, checking game cameras, and an unsuccessful dove hunt, I was ready to get back to the house and settle down for the night. Hawks mentioned he wanted to make one last stop at the West End Cliffs which overlooks the river on the ranch to "glass for animals", I reluctantly agreed. After some convincing, Hawks got me to look through his binoculars. When I turned around to give the binoculars back to Hawks, he was down on one knee. I was totally surprised! We got to spend the rest of the weekend together and share our special news with family via FaceTime.
