Denton and I have been together for 6 years now; I’ve known him since 2008 as we went to the same high school but the only memories I have of him from high school are as follows: English project sitting in the halls of Signature School, riding the ski lift on Mr. Reek’s adventure trip to Paoli Peaks. To be honest, he was a little bit too much of a nerd for me when I was "cool" in high school and then the tables turned in college when I didn't know anyone and ran into him and Trevor in the Wright food court and it was all history from there. We started dating in college at Indiana University - summer between freshman and sophomore year together to be precise (2013). We went through all of college together, hiked and camped (Appalachian Trail, Glacier National Park); he has been with me through the deaths of my dad and grandpa - drove all the way from Utah to be with me for my grandpa’s funeral - we have explored China, Thailand, Taiwan together; he visited me after my Paris study abroad and we explored Paris, Brugges, and Amsterdam together; we hiked 1,000 miles over 3 months on the Appalachian Trail together with only 1 argument (yay!); we rock climbed in Yosemite; we hiked 60 miles of the John Muir Trail together; lived in Bloomington, Atlanta, and Salt Lake City together; we’ve explored all of the Utah National Parks together; he has even been to the Dirty Devil River and Robbers Roost (CORE!); hiked throughout Salt Lake City over the past 2 years; explored many US cities together: San Fran, DC, Jacksonville, Gatlinburg, Baltimore, Louisville, Chicago, Las Vegas. Sunday evening on August 25, 2019 Denton asked me to marry him on one knee over looking the beautiful Salt Lake City during a great sunset. Denton picked out my dream ring and it came in a pretty light blue Tiffany box. ❤ I’m a Fiancée! 8/25/19
