Authentic Cuban food in Black Mountain! This is our personal favorite lunch spot in town. We love the "Havana Wrap" w/ a side of Yucca Fries.

Cousins Cuban Cafe

The perfect spot for post-hike/run lunch, or dinner in town. We love the "Beacon Heights" & "Black Bottom" sandwiches. There are plenty of LOCAL draft beer options to choose from!

Trailhead Restaurant & Bar

You can't go wrong with pizza. A great crowd pleasing option!

Mountain Running Company- Black Mountain

Rolling mountains serve as the backdrop to this vibrant mountain town, boasting a lively downtown filled with craft galleries and quaint bistros.

Downtown Black Mountain

Visit the mountain where our proposal happened! This is one of the closest peaks to our home & most definitely a special place in our hearts now. 2.6 miles, 784 ft of elevation gain.

Rattlesnake Mountain

The shortest hike/run in Montreat that offers incredible views. 1.5 miles, 626 ft of elevation gain.

Lookout Mountain

Great spot to walk or run at while visiting. Pro tip: grab a cup of coffee at Dripolator and enjoy while walking this .55 mile loop around the lake! (Beware: there are geese!)

Lake Tomahawk

Enjoy the sounds of Flat Creek while walking or running along this mellow, flat trail in Montreat.
