After Michael’s plans of proposing in London fell through (thanks COVID), it only made sense to propose in Duck on our annual trip. It was a beautiful day on the beach and Michael had made a reservation at our favorite restaurant. He would pop the question on the boardwalk en route to dinner. 

Just as we were getting ready, unexpected dark storm clouds started to roll through. After much deliberating, full panic mode, and a phone call to dad, Michael stayed committed to the plan regardless of the storm ahead.  

The potential for rain had cleared the boardwalks of tourists and as we arrived, the sun started to peek through. Elizabeth was completely clueless, until she heard “Ever since London...” With emotions running high, neither of us quite remember the rest of it, but thankfully, Michael was prepared and hired a photographer to capture the moment. 

We have loved being able to look back at these photos and now, to be able to give you a glimpse into the magic of the moment.
