Learning a few basic Portuguese phrases will be appreciated - Olá (hello), Obrigado/a (thank you), Por favor (please). Currency: Euro (€) Transportation: Lisbon is a walkable city, but its hills can be challenging. Take advantage of the excellent public transport system, including trams, buses, and the metro. Ubers are also quickly available. - Must-Do Experiences: Explore Alfama, Ride Tram 28, Savor Pastéis de Belém, Time Out Market, etc. Other Tips: - Comfortable Shoes: Lisbon's cobblestone streets and hills demand sturdy, comfortable footwear. - Tipping: Tipping isn't mandatory, but a small amount for good service is appreciated. Rounding up the bill in restaurants or giving a few Euros to taxi drivers or hotel staff is common.
