Our wedding is inspired by all the world's greatest love stories- new, old, written, sung, and acted. Stories that celebrate love in all of its many forms, be it friendship, soulmates, family... these are the bindings that hold together the book of our lives. This is our story. We met in September of 2013, working together at the new rooftop lounge atop the Hotel Monaco in Old City, Philadelphia. Although we didn't interact much with each other in the beginning, we became fast friends after a few months. Soon, we were going out for a drink after work and talking, and before long Richie was taking Grace to work and bringing her coffee, and the rest was history! We began dating in June of 2014, and despite trying to keep it quiet at work for the first 3 months, it quickly became evident this was the real thing. We have been totally inseparable ever since, and we are so ecstatic to become Mr. & Mrs. Garcia and to share it with all of you! You are the people that inspire us most and bring us joy in our daily lives, and we appreciate you all so much. with love, Grace & Richie
We had been planning a trip to London & Paris for several months, and got the idea to commemorate it with some professional pictures in front of the Eiffel Tower. When we got to Paris, we spent a few days exploring, and the night before we were set to take our photos, the photographer reached out to us to let us know the weather wasn't cooperating, so after postponing a day for Parisian thunderstorms, we finally got to take our pictures! We met at 8 in the morning at the Place du Trocadero, the best viewing spot of the Eiffel Tower. Our very convincing photographer, Odrida had Grace face the Eiffel Tower for a few "solo shots" with her dress "blowing perfectly in the wind", while Richie quietly snuck up behind her and got down on one knee. Odrida asked Grace to turn around and Richie got to ask his question, although neither of us remember if he even said anything or if Grace even said yes. Rich had to keep the ring hidden in his luggage for 8 days before he finally got his answer, which was of course yes! We celebrated with a trip to the Palace of Versailles where we had lunch in the Palace and walked around for hours and then we hopped aboard a dinner cruise on the Seine, where we met a really sweet Italian couple and toasted our engagement. We then made our way back home to celebrate with everyone we love.
