Visiting Glacier is a must if you're able to arrive early or stay late around the wedding weekend. It is well worth it to experience Glacier's pristine forests, alpine meadows, rugged mountains, and spectacular lakes! For hikers and adventurers, Glacier offers hundreds of miles of hiking trails that range from easy to more challenging. A few family friendly hikes we've done many times include a hike to Avalanche Lake or the Hidden Lake Nature Trail. You can always soak up the views from the car as you enjoy a jaw-dropping drive up the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road. Be on the lookout for wildlife, including mountain goats and bears!
Visit the ski resort in the summer to take a scenic lift ride up to the top of the mountain! I used to do this all the time with my family and we'd have lunch at the top. You can see views of Whitefish Lake, Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park! Definitely a fun afternoon activity. -Grace
