It all began at a bar on the Upper West Side, where Jason somehow got Michelle to sit down for a margarita and some pickles. Shocker, right? She had come back from traveling for a year, and he was in between business trips. Timing couldn't have been more perfect. After a few amazing dates, we were quickly proven wrong...

After months of persevering through weekly FaceTimes and virtual Yoga sessions, Michelle and Jason were finally back in the groove masked up and socially distant. Between park dates, outdoor dining, and plenty of hiking, it was clear to both of them that this was the real deal.

In order to tell this story, we have to go back to Michelle's birthday on July 30th. Given Michelle's superiority in Sudoku's, Jason gifted her a special sudoku puzzle with a clue to where their next adventure would be. Spoiler alert: the answer was a sunflower festival. Second spoiler alert: That's not where it happened. Later that day, Jason would surprise Michelle by asking her out to his balcony to see the "sunset" on a drizzly New York evening. He would further surprise her (and himself) by singing a song he'd written for her. A few out of key voice scratches and some tears later, Jason got down on one knee and Michelle said "YESS!"
