Glen and Kayla met on a dating app back in 2015. Kayla knew it was special the first time she heard Glen’s voice on the phone and felt her heart jump. But the first date at the Veggie Grill was… awkward, both Glen and Kayla were shy, and Kayla tried to romantically spoonfeed vegan Mac’n’Cheese into Glen’s mouth. You can imagine how it went. But by the second date the nerves subsided and they were chatting like friends who had known each other for years, and when they were walking through Westwood Village to the local udon place that night, Glen wearing Kayla’s UCLA sweatshirt, they held hands for the first time and knew it was special. They bonded over their love of books, Harry Potter, their shared sense of humour, and food. So. much. food. They supported each other through their studies, with lots of quizzing, snacks, and late night study sessions, both ending up with Master’s degrees. Then they took the official next step in any lesbian relationship, getting a farm-load of animals.
