Travel Note
Yes—starting April 10, 2025, U.S. citizens need a visa to visit Brazil, even for tourism. You can apply for an e-visa online, and the process is pretty simple and easy. We recommend applying a few weeks before your trip just to be safe. You can get more info by clicking on “View” below. Let us know if you have any questions!
Flight
The Rio de Janeiro International Airport (GIG) is where you should plan to arrive. Santos Dumont airport can also be a good one in case you have connection in another state inside Brazil.
Hotel
We recommend staying at Hotel Sol Ipanema, it's a hotel right on the beach and close to tons of great spots in Ipanema. You’re welcome to stay wherever you'd like, but just a heads up: the shuttle to the wedding will leave from this hotel, so it might be the easiest option! We also have a discount code for our guests, just use “gisellyandcurran” at checkout. If you have any problem with booking a room, please send us a text and we will be more than happy to help.
