We're getting married!

On Saturday, October 5th, 2019, Gianna and Alex were both attending a post-season baseball game at Yankee stadium with their separate groups of friends. It was a beautiful early fall afternoon and the Yankees won with a score of 8-2 (including a grand slam)! Following the game, many of the fans walked across the street to Billy’s Sports Bar, where Gianna and Alex bumped into each other on the crowded dance floor. This is where their New York love story began. Their first dates included watching the remainder of the 2019 Yankees playoff games at a restaurant at the South Street Seaport, listening to showtunes at an off-Broadway piano bar, enjoying seafood on City Island, and attending a concert at the Bowery Ballroom, where they first danced to their song, "Best Part" by H.E.R. and Daniel Caesar

Three years later, on October 6th, 2022, Alex proposed to Gianna while on a trip to Los Angeles, California. Alex, with the help of Tori, Jess, Jenna, and Tay, planned a visit to the Griffith Observatory, a site featured in one of their favorite movies, La La Land. As the sun was setting, Jess sang a personalized rendition of Alex and Gianna’s song, "Best Part". She said yes!! They celebrated with friends and family all weekend long before heading back to their home in the Bronx. The next day, Alex and Gianna headed to a game at Yankee Stadium to kick-off their fourth post-season together.
