They were set up on a blind double date by their close friends. Will was hesitant to accept at first. They ended up going on another double date but were both still hesitant. They ran into each other when they were out with friends after the super bowl and had such a great time getting to talk to each other. Will asked Addy to go to a hockey game with him and they both had the best time and couldn't stop talking to each other for days after. Will eventually asked Addy to be his girlfriend and the rest is history!

Addy knew that an engagement was coming soon, so Will had to really surprise her. Their friend Annika took Addy to get her nails done and "go out to dinner". Will did all that he could to convince her that nothing weird was happening, and that her dinner with Annika was nothing more than just two friends hanging out. Instead, Will and his friend Jake were set up in the ballroom of a beautiful hotel in downtown Lynchburg. Annika lead Addy in and that was when Will got down on one knee to ask Addy to be his wife and she said yes!. Their friends planned an amazing surprise engagement party afterwards.
