Where it all began...

July 2014

Our love story began with a good ole fashion game of Would You Rather?. Geoff thought Vickie was bold and intriguing; Vickie loved how easy Geoff was to talk to. We were both so nervous for our first date that Geoff had a couple of nips beforehand and Vickie barely touched her dinner. Though we lived in different states, our weekdays were filled with long conversations and our weekends were spent sharing our mutual love for hockey, Harry Potter, and long car rides. Eventually we moved into a place of our own and added Gracie to our family. We spent the next seven years figuring out this thing called adulthood, always grateful to have the other one by our side through it all. After spending three years in North Carolina, we're back in New England! We've purchased a cute little starter home and are looking forward to starting the next chapter of our lives together as we embark on our next adventure.

The Proposal

July 5, 2018

Geoff picked the perfect time to propose. He knows that Vickie is never happier than when she's surrounded by friends, so he talked our friend group into taking a vacation down to North Carolina to celebrate the Fourth of July. The week leading up to the proposal was amazing. Vickie, Geoff, Bre, Mike, & Steve spent their days hiking, playing board games, watching fireworks and exploring the city. On Friday, Geoff suggested that the group go to a local pub where Vickie could get her favorite sweet potato tater tots and then they went to Howl at the Moon, Vickie's favorite piano bar. When one of the pianist went outside for a break, Geoff pretended to go to the bathroom and followed him outside. The pianist agreed to Geoff's plan and called Vickie and Geoff up on stage during their next song, "Marry Me" by Train. At that point, Vickie knew what was coming, but she was still shaking so much Geoff had to help her up on stage. Once they got up there, Geoff held Vickie's hands and whispered for her to relax. He then got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Vickie was smiling so hard, she could barely say yes, but nodded her head and pulled Geoff up into a kiss. We were so happy and our friends made sure the rest of our evening was a night we'd never forget. We know our wedding will be another night that we'll never forget, and we can't wait to share it with you all.
