Question

1. What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. The venue address will likely NOT get you to the venue based on past experience, so it might take you a little bit to find the place!

Question

2. When will the Reception end? Will there be an after-party?

Answer

Music cut-off is at 10:00 p.m. We are hoping to keep the party going for those interested afterwards at Windows on 4th at the Genetti Hotel.

Question

3. What is the timeline for the day?

Answer

I will provide a link to a more stratified timeline on the "Timeline" page of this website soon.

Question

4. I can't attend in-person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

Sadly, we are not able to offer a virtual piece to our celebration. There is limited cell reception and no internet connection at our venue location.

Question

5. Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is planned to take place outdoors. Cocktail hour and the reception will be under the on-site pavilion. The pavilion can be enclosed in case of inclement weather.

Question

6. Is there parking available at the wedding?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking on-site. When you pull into the venue driveway, you will continue past the pavilion to a fairly level grassy parking area out back.

Question

7. Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

Yes, we have a courtesy room block at the Genetti Hotel in Williamsport. You can use the following url or call under the Shrout/Fritz wedding to reserve. All reservations must be made prior to May 24th, 2023. https://www.bestwestern.com/en_US/book/hotel-rooms.55001.html?groupId=D59XA2U6 (If you use the url, please make sure to review and edit the nights you wish to stay as both Friday and Saturday nights have been included for our guests that wish to arrive sooner)

Question

8. How do I get to the venue?

Answer

If you are traveling from the West: Drive on Route 220 North to turn left onto PA-287 N towards Salladasburg. After 3.7 miles, turn right onto PA-973 E and then turn right after 0.3 miles onto Pine Run Road. Turn right when you reach Seely Run Road. Continue to drive until you see an oak tree and the pavilion on the right. From the Genetti Hotel or Traveling from the East: Take US-220 South. After about 5.4 miles, turn right onto Quenshuckney Road. After a little over 2 miles, turn left onto Jobs Run Road, then left again after a mile onto Stout Hill Road. Right onto Chapel Hill Road. When you hit a 4-way intersection, take a left onto Hensler Road. Keep going until the Pavilion and Oak tree are on your right.

Question

9. Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

You may need some assistance, as the ceremony will be held on grass. The overall site is fairly level and the reception and facilities are all on one level.

Question

10. Will transportation be provided to/from the hotel?

Answer

We will not be offering a shuttle to/from the hotel. Please plan accordingly.

Question

11. What is the dress code?

Answer

We request that you wear semi-formal or Sunday best levels of attire. This would include knee-length (or longer) summer dresses or a blouse and slacks for women and button down shirts and slacks for men. If you'd like to dress more formally, feel free (Megan loves an excuse to dress up once-in-a-while)! Please note that we will be outside during the summer so dress to be comfortable in the heat/sun. There is a pleasant breeze under the shade of the pavilion. We ask that red and white colors be avoided in your attire. Our wedding colors are soft pinks, mauve, and soft greens. You're more than welcome to dress to match the theme if you'd like!

Question

12. Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We believe weddings are family events. You are welcome to bring your kids or use this as a night away.

Question

13. Can I take pictures during the ceremony? May I post them on social media?

Answer

We recognize that our cellphones are a part of our lives. You are free to take pictures during the ceremony, but we ask that you remain in the confines of your seat and avoid interrupting views of other guests or shots for our photographers. Please tag Megan in your photos! We'd love to see how the day went from multiple perspectives!
