He Made Me Feel Alive

Her Side of the Story

I like to start from when we met in high school. Had things worked out we would of been together then and who knows where now! So, I liked Rashaun in high school and tried to pass along a message through a mutual friend. Unfortunately, that message never made it to him but we stayed pretty cool throughout the rest of our time in school together. After we graduated we lost touch as we went seperate ways. It wasn't until 6 years later, I made a medical awareness post on Instagram and he boldly shared my post in hopes I’d notice.. He was true to himself by playing it cool. Of course I noticed and perused his IG feed only to see that he still looked good mmhm. So, I slid in his DM to thank him and we chatted a bit over the course of a few days. Then one day I got a message from him inviting me to spend a weekend with him, which I gladly accepted. Ya boy shot his shot and caught all net! He literally swept me off my feet that weekend and into a love story I never imagined for myself. Now here we are, a family of 3 (for now) and GETTING MARRIED during the weekend we fell in love 5 years to the date ❤️

I Knew I Had To Have Her

His Side of the Story

A great man once said, 'It was all a dream!' and meeting the love of my life was nothing short of that. We knew each other in high school, even had a class or two together but little did either one of us know, we were secretly crushing on each other. A mutual friend of ours was to deliver the message of her crushing on me but through miscommunication, the message was unfortunately not delivered. Fast forward to the wonderful age of social media almost 10 years later, I happened to get on Instagram and D'Ericka's profile showed up in my 'Recommended Friend' list of people to follow. Without hesitation, I hit that follow button and maybe a day later, she followed me back. I was eager to reconnect and get her attention to show that I was interested. I noticed there was a medical cause that she was passionate about and posted on her page to bring awareness to the cause. I quickly went to research the condition since I saw how passionate she was about it. Shortly after, I made a post in support of her and to bring awareness to that cause in hopes that she would see it. D'Ericka noticed it almost instantly and proceeded to thank me for my support. I used this golden opportunity to tell her I respected what she stood for and then proceeded to shoot my shot at reconnecting with her beautiful self. The rest is as they say 'history' and I couldn't be happier to spend the rest of my life with her!
