FAQs

The Wedding Website of Madelyn Grace McNeely and James Alexander Fink
We hope these FAQs will help you prepare for our wedding and alleviate any confusion.
Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Invited plus-ones will be included on invitations. If there is not a guest included on your invitation, then we ask you to not bring an additional guest with you.

Question

Can I bring my child(ren)?

Answer

We love your little ones, but this will be a child-free wedding so all our guests can enjoy this event fully - including you!

Question

Can every guest attend every event?

Answer

All guests are encouraged to attend the Welcome Party, Wedding Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Reception, and After Party. The Rehearsal Dinner is only open to select guests who receive a separate invite. Please RSVP to each event you are invited to so we can accurately plan for them.

Question

Can I still come to event(s) if I don't RSVP?

Answer

All guests are expected to RSVP. If we do not receive an RSVP to the Rehearsal Dinner or Wedding Ceremony & Reception, then we will assume you are unable to attend and will not reserve a place for you at the event. While RSVPs are not required to attend the Welcome Party or After Party, they are highly encouraged to help us estimate the number of attendees for these additional events. Please check the RSVP deadlines to ensure you complete them on time. We appreciate your cooperation!

Question

Are the ceremony and reception at the venue?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place the VanLandingham Estate in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood of Charlotte. The After Party will be located at The Workman’s Friend, which is a bar right down the street from the wedding venue.

Question

Is there parking at the event venues?

Answer

Yes, there is parking available at both the Mint Museum (Uptown) and the VanLandingham Estate that guests can use during the events. The wedding venue is only 10 minutes from Uptown Charlotte where out-of-town guests are suggested to stay. We do encourage guests to utilize Uber/Lyft if they plan on enjoying the open bar.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The wedding ceremony & reception is black-tie optional. Women are encouraged to wear colorful floor-length evening gowns or something equivalent. Men are encouraged to wear a tuxedo (if they own one) or a dark suit. Dress to impress!
