{August 2017} Jennie was a few months into her second travel nursing contract in Boston. Lou was just starting his first travel nursing contract on the same unit. One coworker invited them to go white water rafting and they both jumped on the opportunity to make friends. They carpooled together for 3 hours round trip and got to know each other. Days later, Jennie re-tore her ACL while moving and could barely walk. She asked Lou to help her move and she treated him to dinner as a thank you. They spent the night getting to know each other more. Since they are both independent people, they did not realize their interest in each other until they were spending every free day together. Lou and Jennie both had jobs lined up after Boston so they decided to enjoy the time they had together but to not make it serious. They left Boston hopeful to keep in touch and see each other again. {December 2017} Lou's job in St. Thomas was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma. He's home in Louisiana, working and figuring out what to do next. Jennie was in Georgia, leaving her current job due to unsafe working conditions. Lou invited Jennie to live with him and work in New Orleans. Jennie was hesitant since they only knew each other for a few months, but the perfect job opportunity appeared in New Orleans and it seemed meant to be. Over the next few months they became more comfortable with each other and decide to try traveling together. They agreed to take it one job at a time and see how it goes. {January 2024} For several years, Lou and Jennie travel and live all over the US. Once they're able to go abroad, Jennie takes Lou to England to meet her family and explore Europe. While in a brauhaus in Munich, they discuss taking their relationship to the next official and conventional level. {June 2025} With the help of friends, Lou successfully keeps a secret from Jennie for many months. On their way to Jennie's birthday dinner in Chicago, Lou surprises her with a proposal. The birthday dinner was crashed by many friends who flew in for an added surprise! {October 2026} Jennie and Lou celebrate their love with their favorite people :)
