The Suffolk Punch
One of our favorites! Conveniently located in South End right off the rail trail, this place is a brewery, coffee bar and restaurant. Excellent cocktails, chic/cozy decor, and a great outdoor patio and bar. If you venture out this way, stroll across the street to Triple C Brewery for a craft beer afterwards.
Merchant & Trade
One of our favorites (partially because we shared our first glass of celebratory champagne here after John proposed in the park across the street)! Upscale rooftop cocktail bar with an unbeatable view (recommend checking the website for dress code). If you're looking for a dinner spot, Angeline's is located on the first floor (contemporary Italian fare).
Birdsong Brewing Co.
Situated in the NoDa neighborhood, Birdsong is the first of many breweries on this street. The Highergound IPA is a must try!
Cabo Fish Taco
If you are a fish taco fan, Cabo is a must! We haven't had a bad thing yet - the mahi tacos are a favorite. This is located in the NoDa neighborhood. (If fish taco's aren't your thing, the burrito shop next door - Sabor - is amazing as well!)
Heist Brewery
Another great NoDa brewery option. The brunch here is amazing! If you're in the mood for pizza, walk next door to Benny Pennello's for the biggest slice of pizza you've ever seen!
Amélie's French Bakery & Cafe | Uptown
If you have a sweet tooth, you will love Amelie's! Their pastries are to die for, and the eclectic, French inspired decor makes you feel like you're in a Parisian cafe! Amelie's has a few locations around Charlotte - uptown, NoDa, and Park Rd.
Libretto's Pizzeria
A go-to for your late night pizza craving! Located in uptown Charlotte.
Mama Ricotta's
Home to our favorite meal in Charlotte (spaghetti with marinara and garlic knots... we know, we're basic)! Mama Ricotta's isn't very fancy, but if you're looking for traditional, home-style italian food - this place will not disappoint!

Great brunch spot. Get here early to get a seat on the patio!
Queen Park Social
Sip on a local brew and enjoy some small bites. This place is full of games indoor and out: bowling, skee ball, ping pong, air hockey, shuffleboard, cornhole, and life size Jenga or Connect 4. There are a few breweries within walking distance from here: Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Sugar Creek and Good Road Cidery.
The Punch Room
Located on the 15th floor of the Ritz-Carlton, this speakeasy-style lounge creates hand-crafted cocktails and specialty punches, all with a great view of Uptown Charlotte. The room is limited to just 37 patrons at a time.
Fahrenheit
21st floor rooftop restaurant with amazing city views! Extensive wine list & creative cocktails. Fine dining restaurant and also a great spot for a night cap.
Cowbell Burger & Whiskey Bar
A little something for everyone at this casual dining spot. Try the sweet potato tots! Dandelion Market is located next door - also a great option for food/drinks!
U.S. National Whitewater Center
A playground right in our backyard! Run or bike the trails, zip-line through the trees or just get a little exercise walking the grounds. The River’s Edge Bar & Grill and the Pump House Biergarten are great places to lounge and take in the action.
Mint Museum UPTOWN
Located in Uptown Charlotte, the Mint Museum boasts amazing collections showcasing art and design from around the world. Once you're finished here, head next door to the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art.
Yamazaru Sushi & Sake
We have a strong love for sushi, and this place ranks at the top of our list! It's pretty small inside, so you may have to wait. We promise it's worth it! Sycamore Brewery is next door, so you may choose to head over there for a drink in the meantime. Other sushi restaurant recommendations: O-Ku, Nikko's, Ru Sans (casual).
