Spend a day up the shore or in Duluth. From many shops to the shores of Lake Superior, you can spend a day or more exploring. We always love a good meal from Duluth Grill, Bridgeman's, and OMC. If you make it to Two Harbors, Judy's cafe is our favorite little local breakfast spot, Castle Danger offers local brews, and Betty's Pies is a crowd pleaser for anyone looking for a sweet treat.
Explore local state parks. The fall colors should be in full swing! Jay Cooke has the classic swinging bridge that is easily accessible. Connect that to longer hiking trails or drive through the park taking in the views.
Spend the day checking out one of the more remote state parks Minnesota has to offer. Take a lunch break at Loon Lake, dabble in some trout fishing, or go hiking on the many trails.
Enjoy the calm waters Minnesota has to offer. Rent boats at the state park or go fishing off one of the piers.
Enjoy the views and adrenaline going down the timber twister
ATV or SXS the many state trails in the state forests or the SOO Line trail.
