As much as we love your kids, we are having a kid free wedding. Enjoy your night off! :)
Edgartown or Oak Bluffs. Welcome drinks are in Katama (a village of Edgartown) and the reception is about a 15 minute drive away in Oak Bluffs so we recommend staying nearby! If you're looking into AirBnB or other house rental options, we are bias to Katama. You'll be close to all of the wedding action and downtown Edgartown! Oak Bluffs is a much bigger town so rentals may be farther away than you'd think but still worth checking out! Avoid any up-Island housing/hotel options in Aquinnah, Chilmark, and West Tisbury.
Not for a short trip! There are plenty of taxis, ride sharing options and busses to get you around for the weekend! If you're planning for an extended stay and want to explore the rest of the Island then having a car is preferable.
Martha's Vineyard is made up of 6 towns (each containing their own villages within) that can be categorized as either up-Island or as down-Island. Up-Island refers to the more rural towns of West Tisbury, Chilmark and Aquinnah. Down-Island refers to the busier towns of Edgartown, Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven.
ASAP! Car reservations open on January 24th and they tend to book up quickly so we recommend making yours months in advance!
The sooner the better! We have our room block at the Winnetu Oceanside Resort but we also suggested other hotels and housing options under the travel tab!
