Erick and I have decided together to cancel our Myrtle Beach Reception party. After some thought, we felt that celebrating our love & new marriage in Hawaii after our intimate wedding ceremony in Colorado is exactly how we want to spend that precious 'honeymoon' time celebrating each other. Erick and I will be having a small intimate wedding ceremony in the Colorado Rocky Mountains with a few of our closest friends and family. In the following week, we will be hosting a reception in our home town of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to celebrate our marriage with all of our friends and family! Erick and I both attended the same high school, but it wasn't until we were both hired as lifeguards at the same pool during the Summer of 2012 that our relationship began. During the first year of knowing Erick, our relationship was nothing more than a friendship - attending local reggae concerts and house parties with mutual friends, and our ritual Sunday Walking Dead gatherings. I'm not sure when exactly it happened, the shift in our relationship, but by the end of Summer 2013 we were crazy in love and ready to attempt the next four years of long distance while I was in college!

I was always sure that I was going to ask Brianna to marry me on a mountaintop, or anywhere that had breathtaking views. Good views are her favorite. When I felt like it was the right time to propose, I contacted and booked my photographer friend and had the perfect spot in mind. A beautiful overlook that hovered above all of Lake Jocassee. We prepared that morning to go on a hike and I told her that the trailhead (really, the overlook) was at the end of a long dirt road. Once we arrived Brianna took in alll the views, and my best friend said yes to marrying me!
