Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jacqueline Leicher and Erich Knapp
Just an hour north of Austin and right off I-35, Salado is a gorgeous little town that has found a special place in our hearts ever since Jack’s mom and stepdad, Lisa and Mark, moved here in 2022. Below are some fun things you can do during your stay here!
Downtown Salado

Downtown Salado

Main St, Salado, TX 76571

There are so many cute and fun places to stop and shop on Main Street in Downtown Salado! I can’t recommend it enough.

Salado Farmer’s Market at Barrow Brewing Co.

Salado Farmer’s Market at Barrow Brewing Co.

108 Royal St, Salado, TX 76571

The Farmer’s Market is open on Saturdays 9 am - 1 pm. And if you walk past Barrow Brewing, there’s a little creek where you can sit, enjoy the sunshine, and dip your feet in the fresh spring water!

Chupacabra Kitchen

Chupacabra Kitchen

409 South Main Street, Salado, TX 76571

This is a family fave! Don’t let the casual setting fool you. Chupacabra has great bar food, phenomenal apps, & amazing salads. Plus, there’s a wide array of wines, beer, & cocktails.

Salado Sculpture Garden

Salado Sculpture Garden

113 Salado Plaza Dr, Salado, Salado, TX 76571

We haven’t been here yet, but it looks like fun — and it’s free!

Alexander's Craft Cocktails & Kitchen

Alexander's Craft Cocktails & Kitchen

602 Center Circle, Salado, TX 76571

Alexander’s will be open on Friday evening for dinner and Saturday for lunch, but it’s also a beautiful spot to view the creek! Right behind Alexander’s is the perfect grassy hill for a picnic with a view. The photo at the top of this page is a snapshot of what you’ll see behind Alexander’s.

For all the days along the way
