One hot June evening two heavyhearted people found themselves (hmmm how do we say it) full of liquid courage!!!! We were only doing our best to support the PFC, of course. Anything for the kids, RIGHT!!! Before this evening, we had heard murmurs of each other, but neither of us had ever met. My sister introduced me to a circle of friends she was standing in. Eric so happened to be within the group. As I shared the story of Brad Becker being "scared" of me with Eric, sparks must have flown because it wasn't but a few minutes into our conversation before we were out on the dance floor. I know, out on the dance floor, that was a shock to Eric too. (But I swear he was the one who asked to dance) That evening we did a lot of very HONEST sharing and surprisingly did not scare each other off! (Eric did check off all my boxes after all) As I mentioned before, the night may have been a little hazy for us, but Eric followed up with a text message the next day. Within a few days, we met again for a very classy PJ's Diner lunch to refresh our memory and meet each other again. Our interest in each other continued. Date after date, message after message, we helped each other heal and opened our hearts up to one another. Our story is not what we had foreseen our lives to be, but finding love in one another has been a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
