Emma and Will met while Emma was working toward her doctorate at Purdue University and Will was working at the family’s business in Kentland, Indiana. From their first date, there was an instant connection – so much so that they became completely lost in conversation and didn't even notice the restaurant had closed. They only realized the time when their waiter kindly let them know they had been chatting for half an hour past closing. Over the next four years, their love story has been filled with shared laughter, love, and the kind of joy that can only come from sharing a life with your best friend. They have supported each other through challenges, celebrated achievements, and built a relationship full of trust, kindness, and respect. Generally speaking, they have had a whole lot of fun together! Their time together made them realize they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with one another. On June 8th, 2025, Will asked Emma to marry him on a beach in Florida – a moment which felt perfectly theirs, and the beginning of their next great adventure.
