There are Amtrak stations in Burlington (45min), Ferrisburgh-Vergennes (10min), and Middlebury (10min). Please check available routes before booking a train, as these stations only have trains from limited starting destinations.

It is very difficult to get around Vermont without access to a car, as public transportation is extremely limited and rideshares are not available. If you are coming via plane or train, we highly recommend either renting a car or making other arrangements to have access to a car.
