Wedding Traditions

Here are some famous New Orleans traditions that we plan to do for our wedding celebration! Cake Pull (Alternative) Cake pulls are a way for the bride to wish good things for her friends by removing small charms placed inside the cake attached to ribbons. We will instead be doing a "Pearl Toss" with all of the ladies on the dancefloor! Think cake pull meets bead toss! Money Dance The money dance is a cultural tradition at many wedding receptions where guests offer the newlyweds money to dance with them. The custom is to help establish the couple in their new life together and show how much they are loved and appreciated. Secondline Send-off We will be ending the night with the classic tradition of a Secondline Parade. There will be a bar with many accessories for guests to pick from to make it an epic send-off! Go-Cups As most know, people can carry drinks around the streets of New Orleans. We have designed an original go-cup for guests to use for the Secondline celebration!
For all the days along the way
