The Desoto - Closest to the church, and the venue, Very popular, owned by Hilton. The Cotton Sail – A fancy Riverfront hotel (has our favorite rooftop bar) Perry Lane – The newest fancy hotel. Kessler Plant Riverside – Just opened! it covers 4 city blocks and has a life size chrome t-rex. Worth a walk through the lobby even if you are not staying. Hotel Indigo – Baird’s favorite, in the heart of the downtown area. Homewood Suites – On the eastern edge of the Riverfront, used frequently by Baird's coworkers Staybridge Suites – Downtown, near the river, affordable and comfortable. 17Hundred90 Inn – The best historic charm, in a quiet residential area The Marshall House – oldest continuous running hotel in the country, on the main shopping strip downtown The Westin – Not Ideal: on the other side of the river, no need to drive that far in a small town.
