We met at a South Alabama football game in the fall of 2021. He says that he thought I was cute and so fun the day that we met, and I thought his blue eyes were gorgeous. My friend and I invited him to college service that week, and he came. Little did I know I sat by my future husband that Wednesday service. Our friendship blossomed into heart sparkles over the next few weeks and finally into romance. Our first date was November 5, 2021, and we've only grown to love one another more as time has passed by.
Asher proposed at War Memorial Park in Pass Christian. We had planned to spend the day on the coast, and we stopped at the park to eat a picnic lunch. We laid out the blanket, and as we ate our sandwiches I noticed some clovers around us. He suggested we search for some four leafed clovers after we ate, and I said that sounded like fun. We finished our lunch and began searching around us. I had my back turned to him at one point and heard him say behind me, "What about this one?" I turned around to find him down on one knee with a beautiful ring. He spoke sweetly and then asked me to marry him, which I happily responded yes to! It was such a precious moment, just him and I in the park near the ocean, just the way we wanted :)
