The Ouray Hot Springs is an amazing place to go for relaxation & rejuvenation. The hot springs are a 40 minute drive from Silverton, CO. Would recommend this activity if you have a spare day, or if you want to get some relaxation in while traveling back home. (Highly recommended before any long plane rides)
This historic train has been in continuous operation between Durango and Silverton since 1882, carrying passengers behind historic steam and diesel locomotives and rolling stock indigenous to the line. Purgatory Resort is a great area with lots of fun activities to keep you entertained throughout the day. The resort have amenities like an Alpine Slide, a Mountain Coaster, Mountain Biking, and much more. Purgatory Resort is a 30 minute drive from both Durango & Silverton.
The newly renovated Durango Hot Springs Spa combines the benefits of natural mineral hot springs soaking with therapeutic and relaxation massage and a full complement of spa treatments. Durango Hot Springs is open daily from 9:00 AM-10:00 PM. Reservations are required.
On Sept 6th from 4:30-7:30pm in downtown Silverton - look for the pink flags to locate participating businesses “First Friday” is a national movement focusing on artists, galleries, and maker spaces. Silverton’s bustling historic business district will celebrate on the first Fridays of June, July, August, and September 2024 from 4:30 - 7:30 pm. More than a dozen shops and galleries will open their doors for an eclectic evening of art demonstrations, kid’s activities, live music, shopping and refreshments.
