We have provided options on the TRAVEL page for use during your stay. Florence also has a great bullet train system if you're looking to take a day trip.
Semi-formal/Formal, but we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we ask that it is just you.
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Please check out Quercia al Poggio's website https://www.quercialpoggio.com/en/. Make sure to call the property about a month in advance to arrange any of the options available including cooking lessons, and horse back riding (not to mention the on site tennis courts and 2 swimming pools, don't forget your swimsuit)! On Monday there will also be a free tour and tasting of the on site vineyard if you're interested!
NO! Outside of the meals provided by us to include welcome dinner, breakfast each day (exlcuding Sep26th), and food throughout the wedding day Quercia al Poggio has a small shop that has pasta and many sauces, jam, honey, cheese and cold cuts to hold you over! There also are 2 markets located on the FOOD google doc we created under the Things to do page if you are looking for something more substantial and want to try out what you practiced during your private cooking lessons!
These apartment style rooms include at minimum a toilet, shower, and bed for the number of guests assigned to each room. In addition all rooms have a kitchen with stove top, small fridge, and sink. All bed linens and towels are also provided. Check out Quericia al Poggio's website https://www.quercialpoggio.com/en/ for more specific details and see the exact floor plans of the rooms!
If you have an allergy please reach out to either Elizabeth or Jacob on an individual basis and we can discuss a way forward. We will work with our caterers to accommodate all of our guests!
Make sure to buy a European outlet converter to be able to use your personal electronics!
The most reliable ATMs typically are associated with a bank. Just use your best judgement to pick safe looking ATMS. A lot of places don’t split the check with cards so always carry Euros on you! Some places also don’t take cards at all so having cash is the safest thing. You will want to consider taking out a decent amount of euros at a time because of associated ATM fees but that is something you will need to ask your personal bank about.
Weather in Florence at the end of September is still warm around 60s-70s during the day but will cool down below 60 once the sun goes down. We recommend packing multiple layers to make sure you are ready! You should also leave space in your bag to get souvenirs, Florence has a great leather district!
Most places have wifi but other options include purchasing an Italian SIM card, downloading different messaging apps to include "whats app" or purchasing an inexpensive phone to use during the trip. Also make sure to reach out to your individual phone provider to inquire about international plans.
