Maid of Honor
At the age of three, Liz anxiously awaited the birth of her new sister at the hospital. After Katie was born, Liz held her and immediately fell in love with the doll in her arms. Liz: "Mom, can we keep her? Can we take her home?" Anna: "Yes, of course!" Best. Day. Ever.

Like a lot of Liz's friendships, the girls first bonded over photo shoots when Esther was one of Liz's models. Esther was always so patient, especially considering the photo shoots were outdoors in Wyoming and usually in the middle of winter. Esther: "Lizzy! You always make me look in the direction of the sun every time we do a photo shoot!" Liz: "Just two more shots!" Esther: "You said that 20 shots ago!" Esther was, and still is, game for anything.

Liz and Kendall were best friends from birth. When they were four years old, they got into a fight. There was screaming. The fight got physical. Liz was getting strangled, and Kendall was getting her face slapped. Both moms ran into the room, exclaiming, "What is going on here?!" Liz (hands raise to neck): "My troat! My troat hurts!" Kendall (hands raise to cheek): "And I have a slap mark on my face!" To this day, no one knows what the fight was about. They're still best friends.

Liz was an intern at The Summit Group where Brenda was the Executive Assistant. Liz will never forget the day Brenda came skating through the office wearing bright pink, cheetah print roller skates. It was friendship at first sight. The girls bonded over fashion, design and photography. And deeper things, too. A lot of photo shoots and chats over wine have followed over the years.

In second grade, Liz and Erica pretended they were twins and called each other every night to plan their outfits for school the next day. Erica: "Tan pants, pink shirt, white tennis shoes." Liz: "Got it! Don't forget the pink headband!" Erica: "Got it!" And they were twins, every single day. A passion for photography and fashion ensued. In middle and high school, the girls could be found doing photo shoots on the weekends, imitating their favorite designer ads from fashion magazines. So much fashion, so little time!

Liz and Juliette were in Park City for Westminster College's freshman orientation. They were waiting in line to ride the Alpine slide. Juliette (referring to Liz's haircut): "Oh my gosh! You look like Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs!!" Liz: "I LOVE the Yeah Yeah Yeahs! Karen O is amazing! Best compliment ever!" Juliette was so sweet and pulled Liz onto the slide as her partner. Liz was happy to have someone outgoing reach out to her. They started as near strangers at the top of the slide and ended at the bottom as friends.

Chaise was 2 years old when his brother was born, in a time when Chaise was still the "big" brother. These two have been inseparable their whole lives, and still speak to one another in a secret, mumbled language they developed together growing up. Jaden has grown to be Chaise's "bigger" little brother and oldest friend.

Kalten is the older of Chaise's two half-brothers, but Chaise just thinks of him as his second-born brother. These two enjoy playing one another in FIFA, and sometimes Chaise even lets him win. 😉 Kalten is the only teenager alive that CHOOSES to drive a PT Cruiser, but Chaise has enjoyed watching Kalten grow into a fine young man.

Gavin is the youngest, and probably the funniest, of Chaise's three brothers. Much like his oldest brother, Gavin is mischievously curious and characteristically scatterbrained. These two love exploring the video game Destiny, where they are able to exercise their curiosity together.

Jack, Liz's brother, was born in Colorado when Liz was six years old. In her first grade class, the teacher asked each student what they did over the summer. Liz’s answer was, “We went to Denver and got a baby!” As a four-month-old, Jack would break out in a boisterous, guttural laugh that had the entire room laughing for no reason. His laugh is still spontaneous, genuine and contagious! His comedic timing can light up a room.

Chaise and Taylor first met on opposite sides of the soccer field, where they played for rival clubs AND rival high schools. They were sworn enemies until Taylor transferred schools and ended up in the same history class as Chaise. Once their adolescent egos were put aside, these two sensitive souls developed a deep friendship around music, soccer, girls, and sharing the emotional turmoil caused by said girls. While sharing an apartment years later, Taylor introduced Chaise to the kitten he would ultimately adopt and name Watson.

As class partners in a junior high shop class, Danny and Chaise built the winning bridge in the classroom competition. This has transformed into the metaphorical bridge of a lifelong friendship between these two. Growing up, they were teammates playing basketball and soccer, and they lived together as roommates up until Chaise's engagement to Liz.
