We're getting married

Their love story is a modern-day tale... of online dating. They met on Hinge in 2022 when they both swiped "right". This match was shocking to both of them because Elissa was still living in Kenosha, WI, finishing her last semester of nursing school, and Derek was flipping his first house in Hammond, IN. They met in person for the first time at Top Golf in Schaumburg, IL, figuring that was a good halfway point between WI & IN. The date went as perfectly as it could have. An instant connection was made, and that was where their story began. The next two years consisted of hours commuting back and forth and brutal traffic on I-294… they took turns doing this to preserve their sanity. Slowly they started introducing each other to their friends and family. Over time, they became completely intertwined into each other's lives, being there for each other’s biggest moments, getting their puppy, Nash, together, and talking a lot about the future. Derek surprised Elissa with an incredible proposal on the soft, white beaches of Destin, FL (their favorite vacation spot) with both families present. It was perfect. The wedding planning began shortly after that! They will be coming up on 4 years together at the time of the wedding, and they are so excited to be celebrating this day with the most important people in their lives. Elissa and Derek truly thank everyone from the bottom of their hearts for being a part of this day with them-- they feel overwhelmingly blessed and grateful. They cannot wait to have this giant party to celebrate their everlasting love! PS: Their wedding date is also Nash's 3rd birthday! Happy birthday Nashy boy!
