An absolute MUST If you are in Ensenada. Cuatro Cuatros is only a 20 minute drive from the hotels we listed and is one of our favorite fun spots to visit every time we go to Baja. The lounge atmosphere, the great music beats, the ocean and mountain views, and the delicious food and drinks make this place truly magical.
If you are looking to escape to nature, and have the best time wine tasting, we recommend you to check out Bruma Valle de Guadalupe. Not only will you feel inspired by the super cool modern architecture surrounded by breathtaking views of the Valle, but they are also known for their delicious Mexican cuisine restaurant, FAUNA. Another wonderful place you can't miss out on experiencing!
The "Casa Frida experience" is something that you don't want to miss! From art to wine, you will love everything you see and taste at this artsy scene in homage to one of my favorite and most influential female artists, Frida Kahlo. At casa Frida they offer tasting rooms of wine and tequila, a delicious rustic restaurant called Corazón and D’Petra and super colorful bar and lounge areas where you can enjoy panoramic views of the vineyards, enjoy their wines, poetic drinks and a special food menu.
If you are looking to get lunch or dinner with a beautiful view of the valle and great atmosphere you must visit Finca Altozano. At Finca Altozano, they only use products and ingredients from the region, ranchos and ocean near by. They offer an extensive list of wines from the area and artesanal beers that combine perfectly with their delicious plates. Visit Finca and fall in love with Valle De Guadalupe!
If you are looking to try some of the best margaritas in town then this is the place you want to go! King and Queen Cantina is another one of our favorite spots to visit when in Valle. Delicious Mexican tacos, and my favorite extra spicy margarita cocktails.
If you are a sea food snob like Elias and I then this place is for you. Ophelia is actually number one in our list of favorite places to eat. This place definitely has the most phenomenal menu in all Ensenada. They offer a wide range of different drinks and dishes. I can guarantee that anything you order from here will be extra fresh and mouth watering delicious.
Whenever Elias and I drive down to Mexico one of our classic stops that we make is Taqueria el Trailero. This place is a quaint little street Mexican taco shop that has been there for many years and still has the BEST tacos in town. it is the definition of street taco paradise.
Located 17 miles south of Ensenada at the tip of the Punta Banda peninsula, La Bufadora (The Blowhole) is an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water well over 60 feet in the air. La Bufadora is considered to be the second largest marine geyser in the world (the largest is located at Makapuu Point in Oahu, Hawaii). At Bufadora you have plenty of bars and restaurants to visit as well as hotels that you can stay at for the weekend and fun authentic Mexican shopping!
Puerto nuevo is a little famous village in Baja known for it's legendary lobster, and I will say they do not disappoint. Whenever we crave getting some fresh lobster this is our favorite spot to go! Whether you arrive for lunch, dinner, or a few extended, carefree days, visitors are sure to find the village and the folks of Puerto Nuevo charming.
