It all started in 2013. Both of us were studying at Loma Linda University. Even though we do not remember the exact moment we met, but somehow numbers were exchanged, and we became friends. In November 2013, I casually asked Abigail out to a concert. However, she was too busy with her friends on that day and politely declined. ( She had no clue that I was asking her out). Yet, we continue to be friends even after she had relocated to Georgia to work. We spent hours on the phone, just talking about life and our dreams. The friendship continued throughout the years, as each of us pursued our own dreams of finishing school, finding a new job, and settling down. Yet we both kept in touch with each other. Fast forward to 2018, we met up again at the Vegetarian Conference in Loma Linda, Ca, after not seeing each other for 4 years. Abigail had flown in from Barbados to attend the conference, and I was still living in Loma Linda. What was initially was supposed to be just two old friends just catching up, magically turned out to be a date, and the rest is history.
