Two Hearts, One Journey

In San Marcos, it’s tradition for college kids to spend their nights out on the town square. On Valentine’s night in 2020, Christina was out with her friend Angel, who suggested grabbing another drink. When Christina went to the bar to order, she noticed the cutest guy, Dylan, and had just enough courage (and maybe a little liquid confidence) to introduce herself. They exchanged Snapchats, she kissed him, and they went their separate ways—little did she know how much her life was about to change. It turns out that this “college boy” was not only charming but also good-hearted, kind, and spiritual—the type of person you want to bring home to meet your family. Soon, they were spending more and more time together, discovering each day that they had found something truly special. Then COVID-19 hit, the world came to a standstill, and their blossoming relationship took a surprising turn as they found themselves quarantined together (for way longer than they’d expected). That unexpected time together only deepened their connection, showing how perfectly they balanced each other. Looking back, it’s easy to see God’s hand in bringing Dylan and Christina together just before life as they knew it changed completely. By May of that year, Dylan officially asked Christina to be his girlfriend, marking the start of a journey filled with love, faith, and plenty of laughter. Fast forward to April 26, 2024—four years later—when Dylan got down on one knee at Hamilton Pool and asked Christina to be his wife. Now, as they get ready to say “I do,” they’re thrilled to celebrate with everyone who’s been part of their story.
