This well known Cleveland staple is a great place to get a snack or just wander around. Founded in 1912, it is Cleveland's largest and oldest continuously operated market. Some particularly notable stalls are Frank's Bratwurst, Theresa's Bakery, Pizza di Bella and Crepes de Luxe. A great option for between the ceremony and reception. Parking in the lot is free for the first 90 mins during market hours!
Find some time to visit this exceptional piece of Cleveland Art and culture. The Cleveland Museum of Art is always free of charge and has an incredible, world class collection. Of particular note is its impressionist and modern collection (including The Burning of the Houses of Lords and Commons, The Stag Fight, and several works of Monet, Picasso, and Derain), and its world class Chinese art collection. Becca's favorite is Monet's "Water Lilies", and while John's favorite is "Lot's Wife", he is more than happy to give more detailed suggestions if you ask! In addition, the museum is a 5 minute drive from Cleveland's historic Little Italy area, an incredible place to get food.
Little Italy is a great place to enjoy some of Cleveland's best food. Mama Santa's offers some of the best pizza in the city, and Corbo's is a great place to get pastry, Italian ice, or especially cannoli's. It is only a 5 minute drive from the Art Museum!
Tower City, the Arcade, and East 4th Street are great places to wander around and take in some of the best Cleveland has to offer. Coffee shops, snacks, great food and drinks can all be found in this area very close to the hotels in the hotel block.
Edgewater beach is the best place on the west side to go to the beach and see the lake. The upper park section has a playground and a Cleveland sign with a great overlook of the city that is great for pictures, while the lower beach is a beautiful place to go for a walk and enjoy the beach itself.
Come see why Cleveland Rocks!
