Ahh, Fort Collins breakfast. If you're in need of a fresh, buttery biscuit that's larger than your face and comes with house-made strawberry rhubarb jam, then Ella's favorite breakfast joint in town is probably where you should tuck in. Worth the wait!
If you need a deliciously greasy, deliciously seasoned dinner with special dipping sauce, but Chick-fil-a isn't necessarily your jam, then you've got to stop at Drew's favorite restaurant in town - you won't be sad about it!
This is a great place for evening summer strolls and morning jogs! It's also right down the street from the Johnston's house, so don't hesitate to pop over and say hello!
This is our favorite tea house in Fort Collins! If you need something to sip on while you stroll around City Park, Ella's favorite is the Glacier Magic. Drew is a big fan of their traditional mate.
If you haven't been to New Belgium, you haven't been to Fort Collins.
Perfect for walking off the delicious vittles from the reception on Saturday night, Blue Sky is one of Drew's and Ella's favorite trails to bike together in the summers - don't worry! Casual walkers are welcome, too!
And then, of course, for the sweet tooth in all of us - Nuance. Bean-to-bar chocolatiers that will leave you feeling like you've grown and harvested the cacao yourself. Their truffles are to die for.
And we couldn't leave out Rotary Park! This is where Drew and Ella spent a lot of their time together as newly boyf/girlfs - amazing for the summer nights and vibrant sunsets, crickets, sagebrush scent, the whole shabang! Lots of fun climbing!! And if you need to rent a crashpad, you can find one at Ascent...we think.
And if you go to Lake Haiyaha, you have to stop at You Need Pie for a post-hike treat!! It's a Johnston family legend - you do need it.
Old Town is our historic downtown and where you'll find most of the fun shops and restaurants that makes Fort Collins what it is. It's great to walk around and there are bike rental stations every block or so, too!
If you’re looking for a morning pick-me-up, you should definitely pop over to Bindle Coffee (where Ella works!). Everything is homemade, including the caramel sauce that they put in their lattes and the savory breakfast empanadas!!
