Yes, we met in the year of all years, in the midst of 2020 when the world shut down. Hunter and I have both grown up in Columbus, Georgia and even attended the same church all of our lives, yet, we never met once. Hunter will tell you that he remembers a time he saw me walking by in Bible Study class down in Kids World, but I have to say I think he made that up in his head. I also even had a class with Hunter’s brother Rhett, but I never knew Hunter existed. Then came that day… the day he slid right on into Carley’s DMs. I had just finished my last final for my last semester of college and that’s when I saw this really cute guys message on Instagram. Needless to say, God orchestrated our meet at just the right time. His timing is always best and I’m learning that more and more. He proceeded to ask me out and we had our first date right after the Christmas services in 2020. I love the way we dated. It wasn’t normal because the world was learning how to operate again, so we had to get really creative on all of our date nights. I couldn’t be more happy and blessed and I am so dang ready to become a King.

This one is short (at least on my end) BUT Oh so sweet. My family was updating our family pictures and Hunter was so smart and integrated a little proposal session into it. Little did he know, God was going to make it RAIN and rain hard, haha. So Hunters plans changed a little bit. While we went back inside to wait for it to slow down and take some more inside pictures, Hunter was driving back and forth frantically texting my Mother to make sure everything was still going to happen. He came up with another plan and somehow our photographer persuaded me that she messed up my individual pictures so she needed to come back out there for more. So I followed, and then I saw him in the field. That’s when I knew what was happening. The rest is history. One thing I love about the field is that we had just taken some couples Valentines pictures in the same place just in the month of February. Same field, just a different season. You can take that two different ways. I’m so thankful for God that he would bless us as much as he has.
