Travel Note

DC Area Airports

There are three airports that serve the DC area - we recommend flying into Reagan airport if you can, but there are often better routes and fares through Dulles and BWI. Washington Reagan (DCA) is the closest to the city, about 20 minutes to/from downtown DC Washington Dulles (IAD) is about an hour's drive outside the city, and is also accessible by metro Baltimore-Washington Airport (BWI) is about an hour's drive outside the city

Travel Note

Should I Rent a Car?

We do not recommend renting a car for your visit - parking is difficult and expensive, and the ceremony/reception location and hotel are very close to each other and easily accessible by public transit or taxi/rideshare.

House Or Rental

Airbnbs

Airbnb is a great option for staying in DC, and is often less expensive than a hotel. We recommend staying in Columbia Heights, Adams Morgan, Shaw, Logan Circle, or Dupont Circle. We have assembled a list of nearby airbnbs here for guidance!

Hotel

Holiday Inn Washington-Central/White House, an IHG Hotel

1501 Rhode Island Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20005

This hotel is a short drive to the church and reception venue, and close to the National Mall and other great attractions! While they don't offer a group rate, their prices are typically very reasonable for the area.
