We first met in freshman English class where we would both struggle to stay focussed for the entirety of the semester. Jared began to ask around for my number, and once he got it, the rest was history. He walked me to class for weeks, and we finally had our first true date to the movies on February 26, 2014. We would talk for hours getting to know each other throughout the next few months. Sometime in May, Jared came to Sevierville for the first time. We went to the lake to roast marshmallows when he asked me to officially be his girlfriend with a ring pop, and I accepted (and still have the ring pop.)

There's a special place on the McMahan Farm called "the Knobs." This is the place I feel closest to God, the place I feel most at peace, and it's a place that holds so much sentimental value with loved ones. I couldn't wait to share this space with Jared. We have caught countless fish and had limitless, genuine conversations here. He knew what this place means to me, and he knew it had to happen here. That day, Jared told me we needed to go to knobs to take photos because "we don't have any good one's on the farm." Well, I was definitely suspicious, but I had been suspicious for a couple of years at this point. My mom went with us and made it less "fishy" by saying my Mamaw had been begging for some good photos of us. When we got back there, it all happened so fast. Tears were shed, and there was a "yeah" somewhere in the midst of the crying. To this day, it was the happiest moment of my life. (until we say "I Do", of course.)
