It was the evening of May 3rd, 2023. Jarrett, a new graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University's Pharmacy program was out with his friends celebrating his upcoming graduation. Denisha, a tired doctoral student (at Florida State on the other side of the train tracks) was also out with her friends to celebrate her 29th birthday. As life would have it, after a drink... or 7, the two would meet on the dance floor at one of Tallahassee's finest establishments...Top Flite. Jarrett (who introduced himself as Smitty and did not clarify his government name until a month into their relationship) was adamant about getting Denisha's number. Denisha (who may or may not have been playing hard to get) thought that Jarrett was so handsome but correctly assumed that he was young and that he did not live in Tallahassee. Needless to say, numbers were shared, ages were ignored, and the distance wasn't large enough to stop the start of a beautiful love story.
