They had 9th grade geometry together, but David was too busy playing yu-gi-oh cards so they never spoke. It wasn't until Junior year when David started volunteering in Key Club with Anna. After all of his closest friends graduated and he had no choice, David started hanging out with Anna and they became best friends.

On a hot Summer night in August, David and Anna watched the stars on the roof of Anna's sister's dirty apartment. With the courage of alcohol, David kissed Anna. That was the beginning of it all.

It was freezing and late, but David insisted on going on a hot air balloon ride, an hour train ride away from the center of Paris. As he whispered loudly with the balloon operator, Pierre down below held out a "Will you marry me?" poster. Anna said yes to Pierre. As Anna turned around and looked at David, he was on one knee, too shook to say anything and just shoved the ring on. He had to rewind and do it again. She said yaasss.
