We will have 2 entrees and 4 appetizers available buffet style at the engagement party. If you have any dietary preferences let me know and we will make sure you can order off of the menu. They have loads of vegan and veggie friendly options. I don't want anyone to go hungry. Also, we will have a private bar available with cocktails and soft drinks to purchase. Note: this is Danni's favorite cocktail bar because of the amazing martinis! Link to the restaurant: http://thefairmount.net/
Kids are welcome, but know that it is not the most kid friendly environment. There will not be much space to roam and it is a lounge/restaurant.
Parking at the Fairmount can be a bit crowded but doable. There is free parking behind the building off of Fairmount Blvd. Sometimes this lot is full. Be sure not to park in the grocery store parking lot because you may get a ticket. There is also Valet for I think $5 in the back lot. Street parking at meters is available. Across the street off of Cedar is an additional parking garage with meters (still keeping you within a 2 minute walk of the restaurant).
Sorry! Not to the wedding in Washington. It's super low key and a very limited guest count. Wanna bring a date to celebrate in Ohio? No problem. We are looking forward to our engagement party at home.
Be prepared for all weather. We are literally in a temperate rain forest so expect rain, at least a drizzle. We are within an hour from the ocean and September usually has some nice sunny days. Average temperature is in the 60's.
It is $25 per car to enter Olympic National Park. The fee covers 7 days of travel within the park.
Yes, of course.
Danielle and Jason arrive on Wed Sept 4th. We are planning on being in the Quinalt area to check into the AirBNB about 4:00. That evening we will all recuperate from travel and have dinner at the house. The following morning will be some last minute prep for the wedding, getting ready, and a few photos before the ceremony. The ceremony will be within 30 minutes from our AirBNB and not last longer than 30 minutes. We will all do photos together directly after and then head to dinner at the Quinalt Lodge. We plan to all hang out at the AirBNB afterwards for snacks, drinks, and lake views on the patio.
Other than the ceremony and dinner, nothing formally planned. Danielle and Jason plan on exploring the Olympic Peninsula with special stops at Hurricane Ridge, Ruby Beach, and the Hoh Rainforest. We anticipate having dinner once or twice more at the AirBNB, but keeping it casual.
We have rented an AirBNB that sleeps 15 people. We will figure out the price breakdown by bedroom once we figure out who is interested in staying there. There's a huge patio on Lake Quinalt with kayaks and a grill. Otherwise there are loads of options in the area. There are also rooms blocked at the Quinalt Lodge ranging from $200-$395 per night. Let Danielle know if you are interested in staying at the Air BNB or Quinalt Lodge to get you more information. The AirBNB is booked from Wed Sept. 4 to Sunday Sept. 8th.
