Fly/Rent a car/Train/Public boat
Rent a car and travel by Public boat: You travel by public boat to get around Lake Como to see all the small towns. Driving can be dangerous around the Lake District. The drive from Milan to Bellagio is about 1.5 hours. It is an easy drive except when you get close to Lake Como, you need to be careful driving around the lake in the mountains. Rent a tiny car. TRAIN OPTION: You can also take the train into Como from Milan. $7 CAD but then you need to take a public boat to the town your hotel will be in. Flights direct to Milan from Toronto have not resumed after covid unfortunately which has made it harder for many to fly in. Alternative options include flying with connecting flights to Milan then either renting a car or taking a train to Lake Como. There are $650 CAD flights to London and Dublin available now. Following that you would need a connecting flight to Milan.
