It all started with a little trip to Connecticut... Some time ago, I thought it would be a good idea to visit Connecticut being that I’ve never been there. Daniel has. So I asked to join him on his next excursion. But little did we know that September 7, 2020, was a date arranged by the Lord. Innocently, the day began at the Norwalk aquarium. To me, aquariums never provided much amusement. However, the interactive exhibits changed that; who knew that a fish could be petted?! Our trip progressed with lunch, followed by ice cream then a walk on beach the beach (just platonic y'all). Perhaps our hearts began changing for one another during a round of miniature golf: for Daniel, he began to believe that a relationship between us may be possible. As for me, I began to think: " he's a really nice guy". For all the years we've known each other, I had no reason to believe that Daniel saw me the whole time; I always felt unnoticed but Daniel saw me! It wasn't until our trip to Connecticut that God unveiled my eyes to see Daniel in a different way. And for Daniel to believe that we could be more than just friends. And since that wonderful day things have never been the same between us...nor have we been separated since. We are so thankful to God that we are now engaged and soon to be married God willing. For we know that our relationship is something only He could have done. Every day since that little trip to Connecticut, a date that was arranged in heaven, God has shown Himself Sovereign. For in the midst of chaos, beauty came; despite the pandemic, shutdowns, and not being able to attend church, nothing can prevent God when he wants to bring people together. Amen
