Grant went to BYU-Idaho with Dallas's roommate and best friend Amanda Rueckert. One night he decided to spontaneously stop by her apartment to say hello and catch up. Since that night Grant and Dallas began hanging out regularly, which slowly (very slowly, but happily) turned into a relationship! Dallas's stubbornness was no match for Grant's patience and persistence. ;) And our relationship is so much stronger because of the time and patience it took to build it up, together.

Grant had an elaborate plan to propose to Dallas at the Museum of Fine Arts in San Francisco but that plan was forced to change when Grant broke his leg in a razor scooter accident at work (not kidding) and was going to have surgery and be in a cast the entire time Dallas was visiting him in California. He made the last minute change to propose at the Golden Gate bridge on New Years Day. As much as many things had not gone according to plan that day, it still ended up being beautiful and meaningful, and we couldn't have been happier to finally be engaged and begin our journey into life together!
