When I was still working as an RN, one morning while taking report, my attention was taken from me as I glanced up and saw Daisy walking by with an EKG machine. Daisy and I did attend the same high school about six years earlier but not once did we ever speak to each other. At the most, the only thing I knew of her was her first name. About the time I was done taking report, Daisy walked up to me to hand me an EKG. I wasn't too concerned about what the EKG had to tell but I was more interested in just being able to say, "hi." I was extremely nervous about starting conversations with her, with most of our talk is quite limited to work-related details. Every time an EKG was ordered I was excited that I would possibly get to see Daisy stroll on in. It wasn't till one day, my buddy Crhistian who was aware that I had a crush on Daisy properly introduced me to her. It wasn't till about the summer that we started talking more consistently outside of work. Eventually, we started hanging out more often and we went on several dates. I eventually developed the courage to ask her out and I am grateful that she said yes. After four years of dating, we went on a trip to Enchanted Rock outside of Fredericksburg, Texas, were at its peak I got on one knee to propose. Here we are five months later preparing for our wedding.
