Long story short, we parked next to each other at a Thomas Rhett concert. A concert that Austin didn't even buy a ticket for until an hour before gates opened. Short story long, I was headed to the concert with my friend Katie to meet up and tailgate with my friend Shayna. When Shayna was running late, Katie and I switched to plan B of making friends with random people. Luckily, we parked next to a group of guys with corn hole and beer (Miller Lite of course) and we didn't even have to invite ourselves over, they invited us. Austin and I ended up on the same side of the game and after a few rounds and couple beers we hit it off and spent the entire concert together. Contrary to the Austin most of you know, he actually talked the entire night AND even danced with me. A week later we went on our first date and a month later we were official. We've since spent many concerts together and can't wait for many more!

Kirsten likes to think she is SO good at planning, she planned the whole engagement without even knowing, although I think otherwise. With all that 2020 brought, date nights were few and far between, so come December she was ready to dress up and go out for a night. She had called and made a reservation at one of our favorite restaurants and told me we were dressing up for a real date. I agreed and went along with the plan (little did she know how easy she was making this for me). We arrived a little early and Kirsten took this as the perfect opportunity to go enjoy the Christmas tree before dinner. Always 10 steps ahead of me, she had no idea what I was planning behind her. As we approached the tree I asked, "Kirsten, do you know what today is?", being the know-it-all that she is, she responded "Yes, it's our 3 year, one month anniversary," to which I responded, "No, it's the day I ask you to marry me." She turned around and I was down on one knee, a total surprise and best ending to the date night "she" had planned. She said yes, and thanks to her best friend, Maryclaire we have photos to cherish forever. We can't wait to celebrate the one year anniversary of our engagement with all our friends and family at our wedding this December!
