Leavenworth is a cute Bavarian town about 2 hours east of Seattle. You'll find lots of food, shops, and some of the best hiking in the PNW.
If you've never been to Seattle, check out this tour! You'll learn about Seattle's scandalous past. The tour guides are all actors, and are quite entertaining.
Take a 30 min ferry ride from downtown Seattle to Bainbridge Island. Enjoy some food, beer, sun, and scenery.
There are a number of wineries in Woodinville, if you are a wine-o looking to get your drink on.
Green Lake is a wonderful park with a 3-mile walking/running/biking trail around the lake. You can also rent paddle boats, or partake in the outdoor gym challenges surrounding the lake.
Ballard was the fishing district in Seattle in the olden days, but today, it's where you go to taste PNW craft beer. There are 5-10 breweries in Ballard (we'll be going to one on Saturday after the wedding!), and you can also watch boats pass from the Puget Sound to Lake Washington through the Locks. Very cool!
Barry works here. Its cool. He is cool. Both are cool.
For more hiking and outdoor worshipping, head to North Bend, about 45 min outside of Seattle. We hear there's a Twin Peaks tour out that way, if you're a fan.
