Kyle and I met through a dating website in 2020. He was the first man I talked to on the site and we seemed to hit it off pretty quickly. Our first date was on February 18th at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I made a fool of myself by drinking too much of my margarita, dropping queso in my hair, and my ankle rolling in my heeled booties. I guess he fell for the “Kelsey” charm because he asked me on a second date! We chose to get married on February 17th since our 4 year dating anniversary is on the 18th! We cannot wait to watch how our love continues to grow and the adventures we will go on as Mr. and Mrs. Cornwell!

Our engagement story is definitely one for the books! Kyle planned a crawfish boil at our house. We had invited all of our closest family and friends. I was already suspicious that this could be the big day because since when does Kyle ever want to have a party??? A few days before the crawfish boil, I went to get my nails done with the nail lady that my mom and I have used for years. One of the first things my nail lady said to me was "Congratulations! Your mom told me about wedding!" | didn't think too much of it because my nail lady can sometimes get confused and also has a thick accent so maybe I misunderstood her. I asked Kyle later that day if he planned to propose to me at the crawfish boil and he, of course, denied it. I told him that was good because I was planning to wear crawfish earrings and I wasn't sure I wanted to get engaged while wearing them. Well, guess who got engaged in their crawfish earrings?? I love our engagement story and I laugh every time I think about it. It may not have been a complete surprise like Kyle wanted it to be but I think it was perfect in every way! •Kelsey•
